My journey in photography began in childhood, growing up in Newport, Rhode Island, where the stunning architecture, textures, and colors became my first classroom. This early exposure to visual storytelling, combined with my family's tradition of always having a camera in hand, laid the foundation for my lifelong passion.

My professional development took a significant leap when I attended photography seminars at National Geographic in Washington, DC. These sessions, which I treasured as respite from my demanding work in the ER, provided invaluable technical skills and artistic vision that I carry into every shoot.

What truly drives my work is the unique intersection of my healthcare background and photography expertise. Having worked in emergency medicine, I understand the pace, intensity, and profound humanity of healthcare environments. This perspective allows me to capture authentic moments that showcase the dedication and compassion of healthcare professionals.

I specialize in photographing healthcare teams, clinical ceremonies, and capturing the essence of "care in action" – those powerful moments when medical professionals demonstrate their commitment to healing and human connection.

My carefully curated equipment collection reflects years of experience and training from National Geographic seminars. Each piece serves a specific purpose in capturing the authentic moments and professional imagery that healthcare environments demand. From the versatile Olympus PEN-F system with its exceptional image quality to the rugged TG-5 for challenging conditions, every tool is chosen for reliability and performance. The combination of professional lenses – including the sharp 12-40mm f2.8 PRO for portraits, the versatile 14-150mm for comprehensive coverage, and the fast 17mm f1.8 for intimate environmental shots – ensures I can adapt to any healthcare setting while maintaining the highest visual standards. My mentors at the National Geographic suggested always having 3 cameras; my third camera is an iPhone 14 Pro Max.
